The Backstage Booster Organization was established in 2012 by a group of Acting and Musical Theater parents to support the Theater Department at New World School of the Arts High School.

We are a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer organization in good standing. 

 

Some of the services we provide are Meal services during tech and performing weekdays for both high school and college shows, College Night, Theater faculty appreciation/holiday events, cast parties, theater student celebrations, support for Thespian Troupe 83598 including travel to Florida Theater Conference and other needs that may arise for the department.

 

The Backstage Booster Organization has a clear mission: to raise funds and provide volunteers to help the Theater Department at NWSA, provide support for the theater community at the school, and facilitate communication between the school and the families.

 

Volunteering is essential, as is contributing by paying your membership dues. Membership is $80 a year minimum for each student in the department, it used to be called Meal Services, but it encompasses more than that. We encourage you to donate as much as you feel comfortable. Not contributing will not impact your student. Some of the meals we provide are Publix, Chicken Kitchen, Subway, Pizza, and more. We will require volunteers for many events throughout the year: Spaghetti Dinner, Meal Services, Middle School Workshop, etc. Sign-up sheets will go out through the WhatsApp chat sometime before the event, so please sign up for at least one event this year. You will not regret it.
